The Role

We are looking for a Front End Developer to join our growing team in the heart of Lancaster. The successful candidate will have proven experience working with modern web technologies and frameworks, and will be able to implement responsive web design techniques to produce content that renders across multiple devices. They will join our Agile development team, where they will play an active role in designing and creating the client-facing systems of our products and services.

Above all else, we are seeking an individual with a “can-do” attitude, who is keen to play an active role within the company, take ownership of tasks, and see them through to completion.

Your Skills

Essential

  • Proven experience working with modern web technologies, which should include at least one Javascript framework (e.g. React, Vue, Angular);
  • Proven experience developing responsive web content that renders across multiple devices;
  • A good understanding of version control in software development using e.g. Git and GitFlow;
  • Able to thrive in a multidisciplinary, collaborative, and Agile environment;
  • Able to break down abstract problems, and deliver innovative solutions;
  • The desire and ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through completion within set timescales;
  • Happy to get stuck in to other tasks, as needed, to help the company grow.
  • Able to build user friendly interfaces from the ground up

Desirable

  • Some experience of using UX design principles to create usable and visually appealing web pages.
  • Some experience developing SaaS solutions for cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP);
  • Some knowledge of underlying back-end technologies such as RESTful APIs and relational databases;
